Who is responsible
The controller of your data is Snap & Forget. Contact: .
What we store
Email, a hashed password, language, documents you add (type, title, expiry, notes), photos you upload, reminder settings, and short technical logs (login, mail sent, errors). If you connect Google Calendar we store tokens needed to create events.
Why
We need this to run your account, show your documents, and email reminders before expiry. That is the contract of the service. Logs exist so we can fix failures and abuse.
Document photos
You may upload photos of passports, IDs, MOT slips and similar papers. They stay on our EU server for your account only. Other users cannot see them. Do not upload photos of other people without a reason to keep them here.
Reading the photo (AI)
If AI scan is on, a compressed copy of the photo is sent to Google Gemini so we can suggest a type and date. Google is a processor outside the EU; that transfer is needed for the scan. You always confirm the date yourself. You can skip the scan and type the date.
Email and hosting
Reminder and reset emails go through our mail provider (currently Resend). The app and photos are hosted in the EU (planned: Hetzner). We do not sell your data.
How long
We keep your data until you delete the account or a document. After deletion, photos and personal records are removed. Backups may linger a few days until they rotate.
Cookies
We only use cookies that make the app work: a login session, a security token, and your language. No advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can access, correct and erase your data. Erase it in Account, or email us. You can complain to your EU data protection authority (in Slovakia: Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov). This notice is the short version required to run the service; it is not a substitute for advice about your documents.
